Remote Control Blocker Circuit Diagram

Remote Control Blocker Circuit Diagram . This circuit was designed to block signals from infrared remote controls. Putting the TV on standby and put-ting the remote control out of action can be enough in this case. Remote Control Blocker Circuit diagram : Remote Control Blocker Circuit Diagram The way in which we do this is very straightforward. Two IR LEDs continuously transmit infrared light with a frequency that can be set between 32 and 41 kHz. Most remote controls work at a frequency of 36 kHz or 38 kHz.  The disruption of the remote control occurs as follows. The ‘automatic gain’ of the IR receiver in TVs, CD players, home cinema systems, etc. reduces the gain of the receiver due to the strong signal from the IR LEDs. Any IR signals from a remote control are then too weak to be detected by the re...

On off Infrared Remote Control

Most homes today have at least a few infrared remote controls, whether they be for the television, the video recorder, the stereo, etc. Despite that fact, who among us has not cursed the light that remained lit after we just sat down in a comfortable chair to watch a good film? This project proposes to solve that problem thanks to its original approach. In fact, it is for a common on/off switch for infrared remote controls, but what differentiates it from the commercial products is the fact that it is capable of working with any remote control. Therefore, the first one you find allows you to turn off the light and enjoy your movie in the best possible conditions. The infrared receiver part of our project is entrusted to an integrated receiver (Sony SBX 1620-52) which has the advantage of costing less than the components required to make the same function. After being inverted by T1, the pulses delivered by this receiver trigger IC2a, which is nothing other than a D flip-flop configured...

Simple MiniCom An Arduino LCD DSLR Remote Control

It’s my first post in English on this blog, just to get to the broader English crowd of the maker world. I’ll present my latest project, the fifth iteration in my quest to create a remote control for my DSLR. There’s a night-mode, where all the LCD turns red, useful for astro-photography, when you need to be able to look at it without compromising your acquired night vision. The interface is limited to a single rotary knob you can push to validate your choices. It remains easy and intuitive to use even when it’s minus 20°C and it’s pitch black. The output is a standard 3.5mm stereo jack, you can use different cables to control different brand of DSLRs. [ ]

9 Sec Timer with LED Indication and Control Relay

The electronic circuit provides a visual time 9 second delay using ten LED before control by closing a 12 Vdc relay. That the reset switch has closed, IC 4017 decade counter will be reset to zero count which illuminates the LED driven from pin 3. IC 555 timer output at pin 3 will be high and the voltage at pins 6 and 2 of the timer will be a little less than the lower trigger point, or about 3 Vdc. 9 Sec Timer with LED Indication and Control Relay Circuit Schematic   That time the switch is opened, the transistor in parallel with the timing capacitor (22uF) is shut off allowing the capacitor to begin charging and the IC 555 timer circuit to produce an approximate one second clock signal to the decade counter. The counter advances on each positive going change at pin 14 and is enabled with pin 13 terminated low. When the 9th count is reached, pin 11 and 13 will be high, stopping the counter and energizing the relay. Longer delay times can be obtained with most capacitor or most resi...

Simple Telephone Record Control

This circuit will allow you to connect any tape recorder that has a mic and remote input to a phone line and automatically record both sides of a conversation when ever the phone is in use. You will need to take a couple of voltage readings before connecting the circuit. First determine the polarity of your phone line and connect it to the circuit as shown and then determine the polarity of the remote input and connect it to the circuit. Circuit operation is as follows. When the phone is on hook the voltage across the phone line is about 48volts dc. When the phone is off hook the voltage will drop to below 10volts dc. When the line voltage is at 48volts the FET is off which causes Q2 and Q3 to be off. When the phone is picked up the FET turns on along with Q2 and Q3 which turns your recorder on. The tape recorder must be in the record mode at all times. As you can see the power source for the circuit is the phone line. Circuit Diagram

Treble Tone Control

The treble control works in a similar manner as the bass control elsewhere in this site, but contains several modifications, of course. One of these is the series network C1-C2– R1– R1 1. The d.c. operating point of IC3 is set with resistors R12 and R13. To ensure that these resistors do not (adversely) affect the control characteristics, they are coupled to the junction of R9 and R1 0. In this way they only affect the low-frequency noise and the load of the opamp. Their value of 10 kΩ is a reasonable compromise. The functions of switches S1– S3 are identical to those of their counterparts in the bass tone control; their influence is seen clearly in the characteristics. Circuit diagram: Treble Tone Control Circuit Diagram Good symmetry between the left-hand and right-hand channels is obtained by the use of 1% versions of R1– R1 3 and C1, C2. The value of resistors R2– R1 0 is purposely different from that of their counterparts in the bass tone control. In the present circuit, the cont...

Fan on off Control by Light Circuit Diagram

This circuit lets you turn on/off a fan by just directing torchlight or other light toward its light-dependent resistor (LDR). The circuit is powered from a 5V power supply. Preset VR1 and a light-dependent resistor (LDR) work as the potential divider. Normally, the LDR’s resistance is high (20 kilo-ohms) in darkness and low (2 kilo-ohms) in light. This value of high and low resistances varies for other LDRs. Preset VR1 is used for setting the intensity of light, while preset VR2 is used for setting the output time period of IC1. Fan on/off Control by Light Circuit Diagram When light falls on the LDR, the monostable (IC1) triggers at pin 2, making its output at pin 3 from low to high. This low-to-high transition forms a clock for D flip-flop. The D flip-flop is operated in toggle mode by connecting its Q output to D point. The flip-flop output goes to an inverter (N1). The inverter output is fed to the relay driver transistor. When the inverter output is low, diode D1 conducts and the ...

Fan and Air Conditioner Control Switch Project

The circuit consists of power supply and control sections. The power supply section is built around transformer X1, bridge rectifier BR1 and filter capacitor C1. The 50Hz, 230V AC mains is stepped down by transformer X1 to deliver a secondary output of 9V, 300 mA. The transformer output is rectified by the bridge rectifier and filtered by capacitor C1. When the mains is switched on for the first time, pin 3 of IC CD4017 (IC1) goes high and relay RL1 energises to switch on the fan. When mains is briefly switched off using S1 and then switched on, the power to IC1 is maintained by the charge on capacitor C1. At the same time, there is a trigger pulse on the clock input (pin 14) of IC1, which advances the decade counter and relay RL2 energises to switch-on the air-conditioner. Both the air-conditioner and the fan will be turned off if the switch is in the ‘off’ position. Assemble the circuit on a general-purpose PCB and enclose in a suitable case. Fix the unit onto the switchboard. Use re...

Accurate Bass Tone Control Circuit Diagram

A difficult problem in the design of conventional stereo tone controls is obtaining synchronous travel of the potentiometers. Even a slight error in synchrony can cause phase and amplitude differences between the two channels. Moreover, linear potentiometers are often used in such controls, and these give rise to unequal performance by human hearing. Special potentiometers that counter these difficulties are normally hard to obtain in retail shops. A good alternative is a control based on a rotary switch and a discrete potential divider. The problem with this that for good tone control more than six steps are needed, and switches for this are also not readily available. Fortunately, electronic circuits can remove these difficulties.  Accurate Bass Tone Control Circuit Diagram The analogue selectors used may be driven by mechanical switches, standard logic circuit or a microcontroller. The selectors used in the present circuit are Type SSM2404 versions from Analogue Devices, which s...
