USB Enabled Remote Control

The objective of a remote control is to have the ability to operate a device from a certain distance. Nevertheless, remote controls usually are in places where we need to move around to find. This makes the remote totally useless as you may have used that time and energy to operate the device personally. If we take into account the limited reach that remote have, along with the fact that they are battery operated, we have an obsolete technology. All this can be fixed by developing a new remote control system. A lot of designs have been completed on systems that operate by clapping. But they have some disadvantages. Such as the fact that they work over only one sound or command. Another fact is that daily activities must be interrupted to give a command. A whistling command system has been developed to control domestic devices. It works by detecting the sound peaks that are uniquely produced by whistles. Sound from each whistle is processed to give the order to the device....

Remote Control Blocker Circuit Diagram

Remote Control Blocker Circuit Diagram . This circuit was designed to block signals from infrared remote controls. This will prove very useful if your children have the tendency to switch channels all the time. It is also effective when your children aren’t permitted to watch TV as a punishment. Putting the TV on standby and put-ting the remote control out of action can be enough in this case. Remote Control Blocker Circuit diagram : Remote Control Blocker Circuit Diagram The way in which we do this is very straightforward. Two IR LEDs continuously transmit infrared light with a frequency that can be set between 32 and 41 kHz. Most remote controls work at a frequency of 36 kHz or 38 kHz.  The disruption of the remote control occurs as follows. The ‘automatic gain’ of the IR receiver in TVs, CD players, home cinema systems, etc. reduces the gain of the receiver due to the strong signal from the IR LEDs. Any IR signals from a remote control are then too weak to be detected by the re...

On off Infrared Remote Control

Most homes today have at least a few infrared remote controls, whether they be for the television, the video recorder, the stereo, etc. Despite that fact, who among us has not cursed the light that remained lit after we just sat down in a comfortable chair to watch a good film? This project proposes to solve that problem thanks to its original approach. In fact, it is for a common on/off switch for infrared remote controls, but what differentiates it from the commercial products is the fact that it is capable of working with any remote control. Therefore, the first one you find allows you to turn off the light and enjoy your movie in the best possible conditions. The infrared receiver part of our project is entrusted to an integrated receiver (Sony SBX 1620-52) which has the advantage of costing less than the components required to make the same function. After being inverted by T1, the pulses delivered by this receiver trigger IC2a, which is nothing other than a D flip-flop configured...

Simple MiniCom An Arduino LCD DSLR Remote Control

It’s my first post in English on this blog, just to get to the broader English crowd of the maker world. I’ll present my latest project, the fifth iteration in my quest to create a remote control for my DSLR. There’s a night-mode, where all the LCD turns red, useful for astro-photography, when you need to be able to look at it without compromising your acquired night vision. The interface is limited to a single rotary knob you can push to validate your choices. It remains easy and intuitive to use even when it’s minus 20°C and it’s pitch black. The output is a standard 3.5mm stereo jack, you can use different cables to control different brand of DSLRs. [ ]

TV Remote Jammer Using 555 IC Circuit Diagram

The TV remote control transmits television signals as pulses of frequency around 37.5kHz. Each button on the remote control is pressed or equivalent has a pulse signal codes. This remote transmits pulses of the circuit block of the same frequency as the remote to your TV confuse decoding the transmitted signal. The heart of the circuit is the 555 timer IC in astable circuit works mode. The output series of pulses at a frequency of 18 kHz to 48 kHz by simply adjusting the 5K potentiometer. What you do is adjust the potentiometer until frequeny jives to its distance from the TV or until the signal is ignored by television.  TV Remote Jammer Using 555 IC Circuit Diagram Read more IC Circuits

Project of Remote Audio Level Indicator Circuit Diagram

Remote Audio Level Indicator Circuit Diagram. The normal level-indicator circuits which are available in the market require connections to be made to the output of the player, which may not be easily accessible. The audio level indicator circuit described here removes this restriction as it may be placed close to the player’s speakers and yet the desired effect can be realized. Remote Audio Level Indicator Circuit Diagram : Remote Audio Level Indicator Circuit Diagram As shown in the circuit, signals are picked up by the condenser microphone, which get further amplified by the noninverting amplifier built around one of the four op-amps of LM324. The remaining three, along with four op-amps of the second LM324, are used as seven comparators to work as the level detector, giving seven output levels through seven coloured LEDs.  The sensitivity of the audio level indicator circuit may be improved by varying the 220k potentiometer. If a fine adjustment is desired, a 4.7-kilohm potent...

Remote controlled appliance switch circuit

Here is a versatile remote controlled appliance switch that can ON or OFF any appliance connected to it using a TV remote. IR remote sensor IC TSOP 1738 is used for recieving the signal. Normally when no signal is falling on IC3 the output of it will be high. This makes Q1 OFF.When a signal of 38 KHz from the TV remote falls on the IC3 its output goes low. This makes Q1 conduct and a negative pulse is obtained at pin 2 of IC 1 NE 555.Due to this IC1 wired as a monostable multivibrator produces a 4 Sec long high signal at its out put. This high out put is the clock for IC 2 which is wired as a Flipflop and of , its two outputs pin 3 goes low and pin 2 goes high. The high output at pin 2 is amplified to drive the relay .For the next signal the outputs of IC2 toggles state. Result, we get a relay toggling on each press on the remote.Any appliance connected to this circuit can be switched ON or OFF. Circuit Diagram Notes. Before wiring the circuit make sure that the carrier frequency of the...

TV Remote controlled home appliance circuit with 555 timer

This is my first post and and this is the first circuit i made. There are many types of circuits for controlling home appliances using TV Remote. In fact I had confused a lot when I am a beginner searching for this type of circuits. The circuit here 555 timer IC to avoid fast switching. you can only switch the circuit after 3 seconds. Remote Field Strength Meter Circuit Diagram

Remote Field Strength Meter Circuit Diagram. This field strength meter consists of a tuned crystal detector producing a dc output voltage from a transmitted signal. The dc voltage is used to shift the frequency of a transmitter of 100-mW power operating at 1650 kHz. The frequency shift is proportional to the received field strength. This unit has a range of several hundred feet and is operated under FCC part 15 rules (100-mW max power into a 2-m-iong antenna between 510 and 1705 kHz). Remote Field Strength Meter Circuit Diagram

Remote Solar LED Light

I created this circuit in an attempt to make the simplest possible solar powered project. It would make for an excellent science fair project, and would also serve as a good introduction to solar powered circuitry. It may also have some practical uses, such as shedding some light into a dark part of your house. The idea is simple, the solar panel converts sunlight into a trickle of electricity. The electricity is used to run a white LED.  Remote Solar LED Light  Circuit Diagram Specifications: Operating Voltage: 3.7V DC Solar Current: 25ma max. LED Lamp Operating Current: 10-25ma. Theory: The remote solar powered LED light takes advantage of the current limited nature of solar photovoltaic cells. If light shines on the solar array, current will flow through the circuit. For a typical size of solar cell, there is a maximum current that can be produced. The maximum solar cell current is simply matched to a value of current that the LED can handle. If there is enough light to rai...

Remote Washing Machine Alert

It is often the case these days that the washing machine and  tumble dryer are installed in an outbuilding  or corner of a garage. This not only makes the kitchen a much quieter place but also leaves room for a dish washer and gives additional cupboard space. The problem now is how to tell when the wash cycle is finished. In bad weather you don’t want to make too many fruitless trips down the garden path just to check if the wash cycle is finished. The author was faced with this problem when he remembered a spare wireless door chime he had. With a few additional components and a phototransistor to passively detect when the washing machine’s ‘end’ LED comes on, the problem was solved.  Remote Washing Machine Alert Circuit diagram : Remote Washing Machine Alert Circuit Diagram C1 smoothes out any fluctuations in the LED light output (they are often driven by a multiplex signal) producing a more stable DC voltage to inputs 2 and 6 of IC1. The circuit is battery powered so t...

Digital Remote Thermometer Circuit With Receiver and Transmitter

Remote sensor sends data via mains supply, Temperature range: 00.0 to 99.9 °C This circuit is intended for precision centigrade temperature measurement, with a transmitter section converting to frequency the sensor's output voltage, which is proportional to the measured temperature. The output frequency bursts are conveyed into the mains supply cables. The receiver section counts the bursts coming from mains supply and shows the counting on three 7-segment LED displays. The least significant digit displays tenths of degree and then a 00.0 to 99.9 °C range is obtained. Transmitter-receiver distance can reach hundred meters, provided both units are connected to the mains supply within the control of the same light-meter. Transmitter circuit operation: IC1 is a precision centigrade temperature sensor with a linear output of 10mV/°C driving IC2, a voltage-frequency converter. At its output pin (3), an input of 10mV is converted to 100Hz frequency pulses. Thus, for example, a temperatur...

FTDI Bitbang IR Remote Transmitter Receiver

I use my computer every single minute, I do my work at home and I need to finish lots of paperwork. My computer helps me in almost everything I do. I make sure that my pc is able to do multitasking and functioning well. Just like our body, it should be fit to do all the workload that must be finished within the day. To come up with another task that a pc can add to its functions, an IR remote was created through an FTDI that receives and transmits data other than the Universal Serial Bus. This is definitely a big help that my pc can easily cope up with simultaneously.
