Simple FM Receiver Circuit Diagram

Description This is the most simple fm receiver with good performances that works great even if the sensitivity is not too high. The working principle of this fm receiver may seem a little unusual. It is made of an oscillator (T2 and T3) that is synchronized with the received frequency of T1. This transistor works as a broadband preamplifier in VHF range.  The oscillator is adjusted between 87 … 108 MHz with C5. Because of the synchronization, the oscillator output will have the same frequency deviation as the received signal from the fm antenna. This deviations are caused by the broadcasted audio informations. The frequency modulated signal show up on P1 + R5. Low pass filter R6/C6 extracts the audio signal and then is amplifier by T4 … T6 and transmitted at the output through C9 capacitor. Circuit Diagram The coil details are presented in the fm receiver circuit diagram. The radio receiver is adjusted on different stations with the help of C5. P1 potentiometer is adjusted untill ...

Wave antenna 5 8 pro VKV FM

Wave antenna 5/8 consists of a vertical radiator which is fed at the base of the antenna. A suitable device of some sort should be added between the antenna and feedline if you want to eat with coax. Adding a coil in series with the antenna on the base is one of these methods are suitable.  So why would anyone use an antenna 5/8 wave if they have to go through all that extra work? After all, a ground plane antenna provides a good match. There are several answers. The first is GAIN. The computer shows that the antenna (mounted 1 foot above the ground) has a margin of about 1.5 dBd higher than a dipole (also installed 1 foot above the ground.)The second reason you might want to use the wave 5/8 vertical is to get a lower angle of radiation. Peak radiation angle A half-wave antenna is 20 degrees. You will find that the angle 5/8 wave antenna radiation is only 16 degrees so it is better dx antenna.   You may have noticed a pattern developing here. A quarter-wave ground plane ...

Audio sensitivity is very good when used with an ECM type microphone insert

1 watt 10km FM Transmitter Circuit

In this article we learn about a 1 Watt FM Transmitter amplifier with a reasonably balanced design specified to boost a RF frequency in the 88 – 108 MHz spectrum.             It may be considered a fairly sensitive configuration when used with quality RF power amplifier transistors, trimmers and inductors. It involves a power amplification factor of 9 to 12 dB (9 to 15 times). At an input power of 0.1W the output may be well over 1W. It's advisable to choose T1 transistor on the basis of the fed voltage. Considering you possess a 12V power supply in that case using transistors like: 2N4427, KT920A, KT934A, KT904, BLX65, 2SC1970, BLY87. At 18 to 24V inputs you may want to use transistors such as: 2N3866, 2N3553, KT922A, BLY91, BLX92A. You could also consider using 2N2219 at 12V However that would yield just an output power of 0.4W at the fullest. How to Calibrate this 1 watt fm power amp Initially don't appl...

Low Power FM Transmitter

This article should satisfy those who might want to build a low power FM transmitter. It is designed to use an input from another sound source (such as a guitar or microphone), and transmits on the commercial FM band - it is actually quite powerful, so make sure that you don't use it to transmit anything sensitive - it could easily be picked up from several hundred metres away. The FM band is 88 to 108MHz, and although it is getting fairly crowded nearly everywhere, you should still be able to find a blank spot on the dial. NOTE: A few people have had trouble with this circuit. The biggest problem is not knowing if it is even oscillating, since the frequency is outside the range of most simple oscilloscopes. See Project 74 for a simple RF probe that will (or should) tell you that you have a useful signal at the antenna. If so, then you know it oscillates, and just have to find out at what frequency. This may require the use of an RF frequency counter if you just cannot locate th...

FM tuners the stereo indicator lights upon detection

On most FM tuners, the stereo indicator lights upon detection of the 19-kHz pilot tone. However, this doesn`t mean that the program is actually stereophonic, since the pilot tone is often transmitted with mono programs also. A similar situation exists on stereo amplifiers, where the stereo LED is simply controlled from the mono/stereo switch. The LED-based stereo indicator described here lights only when a true stereo signal is fed to the inputs. Differential amplifier Al raises the difference between the L and R input signals. When these are equal, the output of Al remains at the same potential as the output of A2, which forms a virtual ground rail at half the supply voltage. When Al detects a difference between the L and Rinput signals, it supplies a positive or negative voltage with respect to the virtual ground rail, and so causes C3 to be charged via Dl or C4 via D2. Comparator A3/A4 switches on the LED driver via OR circuit D3/D4. The input signal level should not be less than 10...
