High and Low Mains Voltage Cut Off Circuit Diagram

Are you having problems with your input Mains supply? That’s common problem associated with our input mains AC line, where a high and a low voltage conditions are quite frequently encountered by us. The simple circuit shown here can be built and installed in you house electrical board for getting a 24/7 safety from the possible dangerous AC voltage conditions. The circuit keeps the relay and the wired appliances as long as the mains input stays within a safe tolerable level and switches the load OFF the moment a dangerous or unfavorable voltage condition is sensed by the circuit. Parts List R1, R2 = 1K, P1, P2 = 10K Preset, T1, T2 = BC547B, C1 = 100uF/25V, D1 = 1N4007 RL1 = 12V, SPDT, TR1 = 0-12V, 500mA

On off Infrared Remote Control

Most homes today have at least a few infrared remote controls, whether they be for the television, the video recorder, the stereo, etc. Despite that fact, who among us has not cursed the light that remained lit after we just sat down in a comfortable chair to watch a good film? This project proposes to solve that problem thanks to its original approach. In fact, it is for a common on/off switch for infrared remote controls, but what differentiates it from the commercial products is the fact that it is capable of working with any remote control. Therefore, the first one you find allows you to turn off the light and enjoy your movie in the best possible conditions. The infrared receiver part of our project is entrusted to an integrated receiver (Sony SBX 1620-52) which has the advantage of costing less than the components required to make the same function. After being inverted by T1, the pulses delivered by this receiver trigger IC2a, which is nothing other than a D flip-flop configured...

Simple Auto Power Off

We are surrounded by battery operated equipment of all kinds, and this array is growing still. Manufacturers and designers lean over backwards to make sure that their equipment draws a small current and can thus be operated by a battery. This has its flip side, too. because even if the equipment in question draws only a small current, when it is not switched off, the battery is flat after a few days or weeks. The circuit presented here can prevent this happening. It may be added to all kinds of equipment operating from a 9 V battery and switches this off automatically one minute after a preset time has elapsed. The peak switching current is 20 mA, which is more than enough for most applications. Simple Auto Power Off  Circuit diagram: The switch is formed by a p-n-p darlington, T1, which is actuated by push-button switch S1. The very high amplification of the darlington enables it to be kept on fairly long with the aid of a relatively small-value capacitor, C1 (= 100 µF). Resistor ...

Fan on off Control by Light Circuit Diagram

This circuit lets you turn on/off a fan by just directing torchlight or other light toward its light-dependent resistor (LDR). The circuit is powered from a 5V power supply. Preset VR1 and a light-dependent resistor (LDR) work as the potential divider. Normally, the LDR’s resistance is high (20 kilo-ohms) in darkness and low (2 kilo-ohms) in light. This value of high and low resistances varies for other LDRs. Preset VR1 is used for setting the intensity of light, while preset VR2 is used for setting the output time period of IC1. Fan on/off Control by Light Circuit Diagram When light falls on the LDR, the monostable (IC1) triggers at pin 2, making its output at pin 3 from low to high. This low-to-high transition forms a clock for D flip-flop. The D flip-flop is operated in toggle mode by connecting its Q output to D point. The flip-flop output goes to an inverter (N1). The inverter output is fed to the relay driver transistor. When the inverter output is low, diode D1 conducts and the ...

Laptops Cord Stays off Your Lap with this Clip

Someone just got this trick works on all the uni body Mac Books and helps keep your wires and cord under control. This clip is especially bendy if you are lounging on the sofa with the power-cord-side in towards the cushions. It keeps your MacBooks power cord under control with this trick and to stop it from tugging in you. Its built-in cable clip the one that keeps your cord wrapped around the power brick and clip it to the side of your laptops screen. The cable pulls it up off your lap and keeps it neat and tidy not to mention free of crazy fall across the keyboard loops. Source by : Streampowers

Auto Turn Off Battery Charger

This charger for series-connected 4-cell AA batteries automatically disconnects from mains to stop charging when the batteries are fully charged. It can be used to charge partially discharged cells as well. The circuit is simple and can be divided into AC-to-DC converter, relay driver and charging sections. In the AC-to-DC converter section, transformer X1 steps down mains 230V AC to 9V AC at 750 mA, which is rectified by a full-wave rectifier comprising diodes D1 through D4 and filtered by capacitor C1. Regulator IC LM317 (IC1) provides the required 12V DC charging voltage.   Circuit diagram : Auto Turn-Off Battery Charger Circuit Diagram   When you press switch S1 momentarily, the charger starts operating and the power-on LED1 glows to indicate that the charger is ‘on.’ The relay driver section uses pnp transistors T1, T2 and T3 (each BC558) to energise electromagnetic relay RL1. Relay RL1 is connected to the collector of transistor T1. Transistor T1 is driven by pnp transisto...

Alternating On Off Switch with IC 4069

Get the circuit instead of a standard on-off switch. Switching is very gentle. If  we don’t use the PCB, connect unused input pins to an appropriate logic level (‘+’ or ‘-’).  Unused output pins *NEED* be left open!  On the Print Circuit Board this has completed already . One step ’push’ activates the relay, another ‘push’ de-activates the relay. IC1 (the 4069) is a regular Hex-inverter type and is constructed with MOS P-channel and N-channel enhancement mode devices in a single monolithic structure. Alternating On-Off Switch Circuit Diagram : Parts List : R1 = 10K R2 = 100K R3 = 10K R4 = 220 Ohm (optional) C1 = 0.1µF, Ceramic (100nF) C2 = 1µF/16V, Electrolytic D1 = 1N4001 Led1 = Led, 3mm, red (optional) Q1 = 2N4401 (see text) IC1 = 4069, CMOS, Hex Inverter (MC14069UB), or equivalent S1 = Momentary on-switch Ry1 = Relay ) It is going to operate on voltages from 3 to 18 volts, but most applications are in the 5-15 volts.  Although the IC1 4069 contains protection circuitry against...

Electronic Transistor Turns Op Amp On or Off Circuit Diagram

Build a Electronic Transistor Turns Op Amp On or Off Circuit Diagram . In this circuit When transistor Q1 is switched off, the circuit behaves as a voltage follower. By applying a positive voltage to the emitter of Q1 via a 10 KOhmhm resistor, the transistor is made to turn on and go into saturation. Thus, the lower end of R4 is connected to ground.   Electronic Transistor Turns Op Amp On or Off Circuit Diagram The circuit has not changed into that of a differential amplifier, except that the voltage difference is always 0 V. As long as the resistor ratios in the two branches around the op amp are in the same ratio, the output should be zero. A 47-KOhm resistor is used to null out any ratio errors so that the off attenuation is more than 60 dB. The high common-mode rejection ratio of a 741 enables this large attenuation to be obtained.
