Parallel circuit diagram

4.4.2 Parallel circuit diagram

Parallel circuit diagram of cells
Parallel circuit diagram of cells

If a higher current is required than that which a single cell can supply, a number of cells are connected in parallel.  When connecting cells in parallel, all the positive terminals are interconnected and all the negative terminals are connected to each other. This has the effect of adding the surface areas of the cell electrodes. The larger surface area can allow more chemical action and, therefore, more electric energy.

Connecting the cells in parallel increases the current rating, but the voltage remains the same if the cells are identical.  If however, the cells have different Emfs then effective Emf of the connection is equivalent to the highest value of the arrangement as show in the parallel arrangement below.

Digital Fan Regulator Circuit Diagram

This is the project of Digital Fan Regulator Circuit diagram. The circuit presented here can be used to control the speed of  fans using induction motor. The speed control is nonlinear, i.e. in steps. The current step number is displayed on a 7-segment display. Speed can be varied over a wide range because the circuit can alter the voltage applied to the fan motor from 130V to 230V RMS in a maximum of seven steps.  The triac used in the final stage is fired at different angles to get different voltage outputs by applying short-dura-tion current pulses at its gate. For this pur-pose a UJT relax-ation oscillator is used that outputs sawtooth waveform. This waveform is coupled to the gate of the triac through an optocoupler (MOC3011) that has a triac driver output stage.  Pedestal voltage control is used for varying the firing angle of the triac. The power supply for the relaxation oscillator is derived from the rectified mains via 10-kilo-ohm, 10W series dropping/limit-ing resistor R2.

Home automation with Telegram BOT

The project I’m going to describe today it’s a sort of proof of concept that will demonstrate the possibility to remote control sensors and actuators (for example a couple of relays) via Telegram. Telegram is an instant messaging application, similar to the famous Whatsapp. Last June, the Telegram developers announced that a new set of APIs were available to develop bots. [ ]

Smart Sine Software to generate sine table

Here is the software Smart Sine, that I created and now use to generate sine tables. It is the improved and more developed version of the software I had previously created with a few more useful features. It is relatively simple to use and gives results quickly as opposed to manually calculating the table. If the software asks for .NET Framework Installation, you can download it from: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=17851 or http://www.filehippo.com/download_dotnet_framework_4/ Download the software from : Recommended: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B4SoPFPRNziHWVdLYVFKeHlsWjQ/view?usp=sharing Alternate link: http://www.4shared.com/zip/L2RbV7Hz/Smart_Sine.html Here are a few screenshots:
